Orson Claeys

Orson Claeys is a 24-year old pianist and composer from Ghent – Belgium. Currently finishing his masters degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with piano greats Nathalie Loriers and Diederik Wissels.

Influenced by musicians such as Aaron Parks, Robert Glasper, Ambrose Akinmusire, Joshua Redman and Walter Smith III, Orson Claeys tries to find his unique sound in todays modern jazz.

In December 2022 he released his debut EP “Conversations” with a sold-out release show at Music Mari’s followed by a small tour at Hot Club (Ghent), De Muze (Antwerp), The Black Cat (Torhout) & Sounds Jazz Club (Brussels).

Orson has been selected for B-Jazz International Contest 2023 and will play Leuven Jazz at 30CC on 17 March.
